CIPR has previously partnered with various organizations and governments to make these events possible, including WIPO, national patent and trademark offices, the CIS Interstate Council for the Protection of Industrial Property and customs agencies. Click here to see our schedule of upcoming events. - On 4 October 2006, CIPR members Troy Molding of Phillip Morris and Denis Khabarov of Baker McKenzie and CIPR Executive Director Tom Thomson were speakers on a panel on anti-counterfeiting issues in the Russian Federation at the fall meeting of the International Anti-Counterfeiting Coalition in Dallas, Texas.
- On 3 March 2006, CIPR conducted a seminar on IP for Japanese companies in Russia at the request of JETRO. The seminar covered such topics as counterfeiting, bad-faith trademark registrations, corruption and key government officials. Read
March 3, 2006 - CIPR sponsored an INTA one-day roundtable in Moscow on "Finding Solutions to practical anti-counterfeiting problems in Russia." Attendees included representatives from the Ministry of Interior's Department of Combating Economic Crime of the Ministry of Interior, the Federal Customs Service, Rospatent and the Russian Judicial Academy, as well as from the private sector.
